Choose a location above the belt line dashboard of the vehicle for best reception. Special considerations must be made for windshield glass as some newer vehicles utilize a metallic shielded window glass that will inhibit or restrict RF reception. This wire provides power for the control circuit as well as the ignition 1 and ignition 2 relays. This wire will show 0 volts when the key is turned to the "OFF" In most cases, the Purple wire will need to be connected to only one door switch no matter how many doors the vehicle has as most door lighting circuits are wired in parallel.
Page 8 5. Connect the previously selected resistor from terminal 87 to the second 2 wire as shown. This wire should be connected to an external relay, and wired to the vehicles interior entry lighting whenever the optional Interior Illumination circuit is desired.
Page 10 Orange Wire: Ground When Armed Output This wire provides a mA ground output when the alarm circuit is armed to control the starter inhibit relay. Connect the Orange wire to terminal 86 orange wire of the relay provided.
Page 11 Black Wire: Chassis Ground Source Connect the Black wire to a known vehicle ground source or to a solid clean metal part of the chassis. Enter the vehicle, and turn the ignition key to the on position. Press and hold the valet pushbutton switch until the dash mounted LED turns on solid. The system will remain in the valet mode. To return to normal operation, press and release the pushbutton switch any time the ignition is on.
Disarm the system by use of the transmitter, or by use of the emergency override sequence. Turn the ignition switch to the on position. To disable the unit, move the red handled control switch to the off position. The control switch also allows you to select between 2 hour start up and 4 hour start up when using the automatic start up timer mode.
